So basically
I went to Cameron’s house for dinner, and it was quite awkward, but it was okay. Maybe. Their dog had just died and everyone was still sad, especially because they received Bailey’s ashes that day. The subject of Bailey came up multiple times and after the table was cleared, we all sat there trying to find girl names for a dog that starts with B. I didn’t eat that much because I was super self conscious haha. I think I made Mrs. Radka feel bad because of that.
Buuuuuuuuuuut they bought me a birthday cake! It was touching, really. I’ve only met them once and I was treated like a daughter.
And theeen Cameron showed me the ‘special project’ he had been working on for 3 months - a beautiful mantle clock with drawers. It was made of a type of cherry wood, which was rare according to Mr. Radka, and the insides of the drawers were lined with red velvet. The clock’s face was framed in a gold paint motif. I don’t think my reaction was what they were expecting. It wasn’t like “OMG! THATS AMAZING!” because I was just in awe. I mean how could a clock be so beautiful?
We played cards for the rest of the night, in which Cameron’s family tried to embarrass him :)
